Glad it worked
[info]jokergirl tossed me these topics to elaborate on.

Art: Always been fascinated by art and it's really something that's become integral to my life. I can't quite imagine a life without art in some form. I'm not quite dedicated to one artform enough to make a living out of it, but I can't help arting in one way or another!
Love: Love's a tough one... When I were younger a lot of my time was spent fretting over the fact that I couldn't for the life of me find/get a boyfriend whereas all the other female friends were all over the place. Let's just say I've come a long way since then, and in a way I'm glad I couldn't find a "boyfriend" at that time. As for love in itself I've come to redefine my view of it multiple times over just the last few years and realized that it's very multifaceted. And at the moment, I think I cherish the love for friends the most. It's not as ridiculously demanding as the relationship sort of love is, and it gives me so much more on a personal level.
Gaming: I've always been a gamer, even though it's only in more recent years that I've actually been able to label myself as such. I started out playing games on my brothers' old Commodore 64 and I actually played too much in the end, as I managed to fry the picture tube on the screen we had (oops). Later my brothers got me into playing Delta Force, Counter Strike and Medal of Honour, though I only really stuck with CS back then. From there my PC and console gaming has just sort of grown, much thanks to my brothers and David. Though David also got me into the whole Warhammer gaming scene as well. So, in the end, I'm a sucker for anything with a good story and/or good game play! Or, as in the case of Warhammer, a creative, immersive and outright fun hobby that just happens to be a game!
Winter: I was born in January and I'm apparently one of fairly few in my social circle that actually likes the winter. I grew up with very snowy winters, moonlit evening walks, frolicking and general awesomeness. Most people I know keep complaining that it's cold, it's wet, it's slippery and what have you, but I've never really been bothered with it... As I grew up I spent a lot of time out in the woods so it was only natural to dress warm and when there was wet snow, keep some extra dry clothes handy. But all in all, I love winter as long as it's snowy. Rainy and muddy winters I just want to sit inside instead.
Fandom: At the moment, I have a few different fandoms that I squee about (Doctor Who, anyone?) but as with most things in my life it generally goes up and down. Often enough I squee about different games and tv-series/movies that I find interesting but most of them fade after the inital squee-burst. A few stick though for one reason or another and they do tend to sort of invade my life every now and then. I think my longest running fandom that I still tend to squee about is Star Wars, especially with all the new stuff around and its humongous expanded universe.

Any spelling and/or grammar mistakes I blame on the fact that I'm dead tired while writing this. Also blaming any babbling qualities on the same reason.
Comment if you want your own five words.

Post ten of any pictures currently on your hard drive that you think are self-expressive. No captions/descriptions, let the images speak for themselves.
Post only pictures currently on your harddrive, no searching for new ones.

Pictures this way )

While I could have grabbed some of the gazillion inspiration and reference pictures I have stored, it felt a bit... Cheap, I guess. While there are a lot of pictures there that resonate with me, they are someone elses labor of love.
While not all the pictures I chose are mine (or my mother's), they symbolize me or parts of my life. There are some parts missing, but mostly because I for some reason or other never saved any pictures of it. Also, a lot of the pictures I did choose have more than one meaning to me.

Oh yes!

There is a similar thing going on here in Sweden... With any luck I can get things to line up so I can actually see it, as it would be so awesome. Makes me want to start practicing again so that some day I can actually play an ingame tune or two.

Violently happy
Did something I've never really done before... Went on a shopping spree!
Granted, I only came home with two pair of shorts, a jacket and a pair of shoes, but that's a lot for me! Will see if I can get some snapshots of the jacket (it's awesome, was the last one left, my size and fits reeeally well. Did I mention it was on sale?) later on... Might possibly upload a short video of me trying to do Caramelldansen as I owe a WoW guildie said video (just... don't ask). If I don't look too stupid I'll get it up here as well =b
Alas, that was not what I was going to post now.
I just have to show off my new shoes of awesomeness!

A pair of Converse all stars, and they're red!
They were all out of black ones in my size and the purple was sort of meh. So, I settled for the Doctor Who-ish red ones *dork*
They are awesomely comfy though, and if anyone ever complains over that my wardrobe's only black, I'll just come with these on >=]

It's back!

Working on fleshing it out as I do want to push my boundaries in some way... Rather stuck on how to proceed though so any C&C is very appreciated! =)

In other news, it's Drawing Day! Get arting people!

Harr harr, I tried the isLove generator and guess what I got? =b

doctor who is love
brought to you by the isLove Generator

All things considered Doctor Who is a new fandom for me so I would've thought it'd end up as Stargate or something X]

:o
I'm so terribly tempted to blow a big part of my tax return on going to London Film & Comic Con... It would be so awesome, plus there are a lot of cool people as guests... I mean, they'll have Michael Shanks, Jewel Staite, Peter Mayhew (Chewie!), Ray Park, Tom Baker, Michael Ironside and Paul McGann... There's so many of 'em, plus from so many different fandoms.
And hell, it would be awesome just to go to London!
The problems though are that just for three days (and not including the flight there) it would cost me a bit more than a months pay. Which is kinda ouch even with a tax return that equals nearly two months pay. I do need to chip in to get a new TV among other things and that's not exactly cheap either. And if I get into school or get a new job it's likely going to cost me a bit to move my stuff... I've a few too many books and electronic equipment to just move in a suitcase like I did last time.
And I'd be going alone. I don't really know anyone who'd want or could go, so it'd be yet another solitary adventure... And my mom would likely go bananas, she usually does at any mention of me travelling outside of sweden alone X]
But still, so tempted... It feels like it could be such an awesome experience.. Seeing London, travelling, going starstruck for a weekend... I think it could do wonders for my confidence, especially knowing what a boost I got from talking to Robin Hobb at Fantastika years ago. Sure, I was so flustered I must've looked like a boiled lobster and I placed the most inane questions, but it was so awesome because I did talk to her, despite it all!
I guess I'll give it a few more days to think about it, possibly talk to mom about it if I dare mention it.. X]

Doodling....

Will be working more on it, I like where it's heading, even if it's not anywhere near what I intended from the start.

Application for a theatre school written and sent, cover letter for Ireland based job written, awaiting resumé translation before sending.
Those two things were some of the most difficult things for me to put together in recent years... I'm god awfully out of touch with anything educational these days. Makes me feel dull and stupid, I really need to get on with something in my life before my mind degrades further.
Harder said then done, but at least the gears seem to be moving, though slowly and screeching by misuse.

Next pit stop, deal with my list of art ideas and get reading the rest of the books I borrowed some weeks ago.

Oh, and I got Exterminate Regenerate on my brains since I heard it. Music is addictive, like whoa.
